Why It Is Definitely Ok To Drop Goals

For the past few days I have been feeling some type of disconnect. It's hard to explain but everything I was doing work wise just felt off. So I decided to take a day and really think about the goals I had made in the beginning of the year and if they lined up with where I currently am. And ya'll I ended dropping at least half of the goals I wanted to accomplish this year. And you know what? I don't feel bad about it. It not only gave me a chance to reflect on the past couple of months but it gave me a chance to think about what I really want and set some new goals based off of that.

I think when we create goals for ourselves, we feel like we HAVE to stick with them no matter what. But that is absolutely not true. Everyday we are growing and learning something new and sometimes those goals we may have made months ago don't fit with our current plans. If that's the case, don't be afraid to throw them out and start from scratch!
