3 Things My Little Sister Taught Me About Life
Little sisters i'm sure were created to give you a hard time, annoy you and question why your mother decided to get laid again but as they grow older (and you actually begin to listen to what they have to say) you realize that they are a whole lot smarter than you give them credit for.
Take my sister for instance. For the longest she has been wanting a new car. She has prayed, saved and even when we all thought she should just give up and wait a little while longer she continued to believe that she would get a new car. She was determined and didn't let anyone hinder her from her vision. And guess what finally happened just the other day? She purchased her very first car, all on her own. And might I add that its nearly BRAND spankin new!
Believe it or not, her going through her car buying journey actually taught me a lot about life (and business).
1. Stay persistent + don't take no for an answer. She was on top of it. If someone told her no or didn't give her the price that she wanted, she had no problem going to the next. Think about how much we could accomplish if we didn't give up so easy or let one "no" stop us from pursuing our goals.
2. Keep the faith. I can't even keep up with the amount of times she said she was praying and trusting and believing that she would get a new car. We can't always try to fix everything on our own, sometimes we have to sit back and have faith that everything will work out.
3. It will happen when the timing is right. We are firm believers that everything happens for a reason. Just because she had been told no she didn't take it as it wasn't possible, she just looked at it as the timing wasn't right. Sometimes we really have to learn to be patient and trust that everything will work out in HIS perfect timing.
See little sisters are not all that bad when you actually give them a chance. I have truly enjoyed watching this young lady grow and she constantly surprises me with the things she is able to accomplish. Congrats on the new car kid, you deserve it!
