Do you remember when you were a kid and every other week you wanted to be something different when you grew up?
Maybe you wanted to be a lawyer, a doctor a firefighter or if you're anything like my little sister, you were bound and determined to be the pink power ranger.
Well for me, it never really changed. I've always wanted to be a writer. From starting up my class newsletter in the 3rd grade, to filling up notebooks with my short stories, excelling in my creative writing class in high school, to majoring in journalism/communications in college and now of course, blogging.
Not to mention, I'll take a great book over going out any day. Writing, in whatever form it came in, has always been a huge part of my identity and is something that I have never been able to let go.
Through this space I have launched e-courses, workshops and worked with tons of women one-on-one but I never really dove into anything that was strictly just my writing. When I set my word for 2016 (it's "GREATER" by the way), I also said that I would do everything I said I would do as a kid.
That's why after a lot of thought, planning and even a few doubts, I have decided to write a book called, "The Blogpreneur". I first attempted to write a book over the summer on launching a profitable online shop but decided to turn it into an e-course instead. And I am happy that it worked out that way because I honestly don't think I was ready for it then.
It's no secret that I feel like blogging definitely changed my life. In college I blogged about music and it was the first time I actually felt like I had a voice. Plus it opened my eyes up into a whole new world of creatives who were making a living outside of a cubicle. And then came along The Alisha Nicole, at a time where I really just felt like I needed someone to talk to. Since then, what started out as a hobby has transformed into a full-time business that allows me to help creative women turn their passion into a profitable business. If it wasn't for me randomly starting this blog nearly three years ago, I would have never discovered my purpose.
So yes, as dramatic as it may sound, blogging changed my life for the better.
Over the past couple of years I have seen so many bloggers try to take the leap & turn their space into a business, but a few things hold them back from actually making it happen.
- They have no clue where to start.
- They think they need hundreds of thousands of pageviews in order to be successful.
- They are only attempting to make money from plastering a bunch of ads on their site.
- They are still looking at their space as JUST a blog and not an actual business (your mindset makes a huge difference)
And that's exactly why I am writing my new book, The Blogpreneur. To dismiss some of the biggest blogging myths and provide you with the step-by-step guide on turning your space into a real, money making business.
Heres what you'll learn...
- HOW TO SHIFT YOUR MINDSET FROM BLOGGER TO BUSINESS OWNER.
- HOW TO CREATE YOUR ULTIMATE VISION FOR YOUR BUSINESS AND THE NECESSARY STEPS TO GET THERE
- HOW TO GET CLEAR ON YOUR MAIN FOCUS AND THE PEOPLE YOU WANT TO HELP
- HOW TO AUDIT YOUR CURRENT SPACE AND CREATE A STUNNING VISUAL BRAND
- HOW TO CREATE INCREDIBLE CONTENT THAT PROVES YOURSELF AS AN EXPERT IN YOUR INDUSTRY
- HOW TO MONETIZE YOUR SPACE BEYOND ADS BY SELLING DIGITAL PRODUCTS & SERVICES YOUR AUDIENCE WOULD FIND VALUABLE
- AND SO MUCH MORE!
Also this is by far from your average business book. All of the business books I love are the ones that are colorful, extremely valuable and provides some type of learning experience that is geared towards the creative mind. That's why I'll be filling this book with helpful worksheets, links to video tech tutorials and interviews from my favorite creatives who are absolutely KILLING IT in their industry.
Seriously if you've been wanting to start a blog or wanting to take your current space to the next level, The Blogpreneur will be a MUST HAVE!
Of course, if it weren't for you, I would never have the experience I have now to write this book! So I've created a mini-book for you called "19 Blogging Myths You Should Be Ignoring". Nothing hurts my feelings more than seeing bloggers give up on their dream because they don't think they are unable or because they are taking the wrong advice from the wrong people. This mini-book will uncover the biggest myths and provide you with solid facts about the blogging industry!
On a personal note, I truly believe that this book is going to completely change my life and business for the better. I see it opening up new doors for speaking engagements and the opportunity to write more books and maybe even a book tour in the future. I'm excited, anxious, nervous and afraid but I can not wait to take you through this journey with me!
Again, thank you so much for your continued support!
