Every Minute Of It

Today ladies and gents (do i have any males that read my blog?!) I have an amazing lady taking over this little space of mine! Liz of Every Minute Of It is an ESL Instructor, fitness enthusiast and very inspiring blogger! On any given day you can find her blogging about her fitness journey, what motivates her and her amazing healthy recipes! Get to know more about Liz below!

What inspired you to start a blog?

It was something I’ve wanted to do for a while, but self doubt (due to previous failed blogging attempts), busyness and life in general always seemed to get in the way.

What finally propelled me to go for it was my New Years theme for 2014: Discipline. I want to make my dreams, big and small, reality. I want to chase after them and actually achieve them. By blogging, I can share that journey. This blog itself is one of those dreams, so by starting it, I am putting one goal in motion.

If you had the chance to take over someone elses blog for the day, whose would it be?

This is a really, really tough one because there are many blogs I follow and love, but I guess it would be Liz Wolfe of the blog Real Food Liz. liz-feature

You also sell Advocare! How does that help you take your workouts to the next level?

In all honesty, I've been told by doctors to be off of Advocare for awhile. After many really bad health scares this year, I was just diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and several severe vitamin/mineral deficiencies, so my doctor and I are really monitoring everything I put in and on my body.

That said, I still believe in Advocare as a company and it's products. It helped me to finally get in tune with my body and for the first time in my life, actually listen to it. The important thing is that when using Advocare or any product at all, people need to get the proper education on what is best for them and their body.

Its 2pm on a Saturday, what are you most likely doing?

It really depends on the week. I try to be really productive and active on the weekends, so I work hard and play hard. So, at 2 pm, I might be running errands, working out, getting a manicure or pedicure, getting together with family or friends, hanging out on a patio, working on the blog, tutoring etc etc

Three random facts about you?

1. I was a hockey cheerleader in college.
2. I've recently learned I'm ambidextrous.
3. I'm fascinated by sociolinguistics and the way people use words.

Which TV or movie character could be used to describe you?

That is really tough, because I have so many quirks, and I identify with a lot of characters, but I think I have to say Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother.

Any parting words or piece of inspiration?

This year I've learned that, sadly, striving for self improvement can sometimes be a double edged sword. I’ve spent much of my life believing that my real life wouldn't start until I achieve certain things: lose weight and have the perfect body, meet the man of my dreams, make much more money… the list could go on. I don’t think I’m alone in putting off happiness until some elusive day in the future when everything is “perfect.” I’ve recently come to see that I can love my life, every minute of it, and who I am, exactly as I am right now, and realize my life is perfect now. And that can happen while I am working to accomplish the desires that have been laid on my heart.

My hope is that I can inspire, educate, and entertain and help others so that it doesn't take them as long as I did to figure this all out. For anyone who is reading, I invite you to join me on this journey of loving every minute of our lives, yet doing the work to make them even sweeter.
