Happy Hump Day loves! Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to fellow blogger and BLM girl Moe of Chasing Moe! She is a Cali native, mommy and lifestyle blogger AND she just dropped an amazing post full of blogging tips (ya'll know how much I love my blogging tips). Get to know her below!
Why did you start blogging?
Honestly, I don’t remember why I started blogging! I’ve been blogging since 1999/2000 when a friend of mine sent me email invites to livejournal.com & blogger.com when both websites were in their beta stages. I guess it was just something to do, when I was grounded (and I was grounded about 85% of my teenage years)
If you could only see one band/artist in concert over and over again, who would it be?
This is pretty tough, since most of the people I wanted to see the MOST in concert the most have passed away (Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse).
Just on the fly I’m going to say The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Elton John and probably Tool. Pretty eclectic mix, I know…but I listen to all three almost every day, so it’s only natural for me to want to see them in concert.
What is your favorite post that you have written so far?
I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite because it was so hard to write, but I feel the post that has had the most impact on me and some of my readers, has been my post on depression (link:http://chasingmoe.com/2013/08/fck-depression/ )
As much as I hate being vulnerable, and digging too deep into every detail of my life, I felt like I HAD to write it. My readers responded very well, and it was nice to have so many people be able to relate to something so personal.
If you could take over anyone's blog for a day, whose would it be?
If my writing skills were as great, I would love to take over watercoolercovos.com
. Jenn has this way of tackling taboo topics within pop culture with so much class and clarity. I would love the opportunity to share my opinions on some of the topics discussed.
Finish the sentence. When I am not blogging I am ______________.
Thinking of ways to be better as a blogger. I want to offer more to my readers, and improve my content, so the last few months I have been brainstorming ways to vamp up my blog. Food and just becoming an overall better and healthier person are a big part of my life and I’m trying to figure out ways to seamlessly incorporate those topics into my blog, without leaving my current readers in the dust.
Any parting words?
Thank you Alisha, for the introduction to your readers! I hope you all get a chance to stop by and get to know me a little more!
