My Word For 2014: CHANGE
When Melyssa announced the start of the Creative Collective, I was immediately interested because I pretty much love anything that involves me being able to use art supplies. If you have been following along for the past few weeks then you probably already know that I have been completely over using the word change. Like its my go-to word to describe my entire life in 2014. And it just so happens that the first Creative Collective project is to showing off the word yo wan't to focus on this year. I forgot to hit the craft store before it closed so I had to go old school and just use printer paper and markers. Simple but it got the job done. Before I started I put my phone on silent and moved my iPad far from my reach, I really wanted the words that came out to be from my heart. So after writing the word CHANGE in these pretty letters. I completely let myself go and wrote down whatever word popped into my head. Fear, money, love, positive, stress..all things that I wan't to change in my life. I wan't to be more positive and stop allowing negativity to creep its way in. I wan't to stop stressing over things that I have no control over. All of these things are things that I personally don't like about myself and have been struggling with for years. And in 2014, I'm more than ready for some change.
I would be lying if I said that I didn't shed a few tears while working on this project but it was needed..I had no idea how much I had been holding in and it felt AMAZING to finally let it all out. So here's to change. I know this may sound extremely cliche but I feel with out a doubt that 2014 is my year.
Whats your word for the new year?
