This morning was rare, so rare I held off my original post to just to talk about how rare it was. I woke up way before normal time made myself breakfast and got in some yoga. You're probably thinking this is normal. But not for this guy! Me and yoga have a love/hate relationship. I love how I feel after a good session but getting up to actually do it is where the hate comes to play. I said at the beginning of this year I would dedicate a portion of my mornings to doing yoga before I start work. Needless to say, I can probably count on my fingers the amount of times I've actually gotten up to do it.
Anyway I got up this morning and gave it another shot. Popped in my trusty yoga dvd (because real yoga classes are not budget friendly and there is no way I could remeber all those moves). I lasted all about 20mins before I felt like my limbs had been brutally stretched too far.
By this time of year I had expected to be able to do something swanky like the pose above. But I can't even manage to do the tree pose without tipping over and giggling like crazy. Practice makes perfect though right? Even though it hurt I love the way I felt afterwards. And not waiting to after noon to eat felt pretty damn good too. I'm learning to put myself first slowly but surely.
